Why become a member?

Make friends with a common passion

Our members have a common passion - we love using wood to make "stuff".

We are a friendly bunch of people with a wide range of woodworking experience. You'll be amazed at the skills of our members and their willingness to assist.

Receive training and advice

All new members will be inducted into the use of the Club's equipment.

Members will also receive lots of advice about how to achieve a particular objective.

Our friendly members are more than happy to provide advice and assistance to new members.  You'll be amazed at the skills of our members.

Well equipped workshop

Our workshop is extremely well equipped with woodworking equipment and we have a great dust extraction system. We make sure that our equipment is well maintained and is safe to operate. Members are encouraged to develop new skills by becoming involved in our equipment maintenance program.

Options to be involved in many facets of Club management

Apart from the Club's committee there are numerous sub-committees responsible  for particular aspects that are essential to the continued success of the Club. For example, we have a sub-committee responsible for the Club's equipment maintenance and training members in the safe, correct use of that equipment.

Participate in Exhibitions & Sales

Throughout the year the Club participates in various exhibitions and fairs where we have a stall with wooden items for sale to members of the public. We are often in need of members to help on the stall for an hour or two. You'll get to interact with the public and explain about our Club.
